My 2nd go at using sketchbook Pro 2011.
I got over the whole opacity issue and found myself with other problems; the navigating can produce irksome troubles. x'D
I find myself often accidently zooming out or zooming in at ridiculous degrees. I really don't understand WHY they don't allow for the wonderous "ctrl+" or "ctrl-" shortcuts. D':
The brush setting were rather fine with me, but another big notable issue has become more apparent this time around;
the lag!
Which is prettymuch why I stopped using Corel, too. (Aside from Corel thinking it is too good for .PNG files..)
Using the blur or smudge tool at a measly 50px guarantees a massive slow down.
Don't tell me my computer sucks, because I can go into PSE9 right there and use a smudge or blur at QUADRUPLE THAT and the lagg there is still better. (At least, I can still press ctrl+z to undo it to stop the lagg quicker, while on Sketchbook I have to hold ALL of my horses until it is done choking on dinner)
This took a tad longer than the last because I kept coloring on the wrong layer and had to redo it. x'D
And.....another very troubling thing is, NO MAGIC WAND TOOL.
Ye gods, that right there is quite bothersome! I dunno about most of you guys, but I ABUSE that thing! It IS magic!
I'mma give sketchbook one more try, just because.
I know I sound horrendiously picky about this program, but truth be told I'm like this with practically everything. xD
What I am going on here is that, I can go use Paint.net and it has MORE stuff and it is FREE. I can only scratch my head when programs you gotta pay for are missing these essential tools! Heck, I STILL go to Paint.net to add text and bubbles to my comics because PSE9 SUCKS very badly at text!
Hmmmm. Maybe I should try at JUST doing lineart with the program....I dunno. because when I do the lineart, all the brushes call my name and beg to be used. I just like how the brushes....PAINT. Ahaha. It is in my opinion, better than my normal coloring method. Can you guys tell the difference at all? Ahh, well, when I do the third one and shove it on my scraps, I'll compile all three and upload for all my watchers rather than scraps. And I'll link you guys to these pics before I shove them in PSE9 to add hard cell shades and shiny effects.
.....actually, maybe I should also try doin a comic with one....I dunno. I'll see about the results from the 3rd.
